Things to do and see

Discover the full range of things to see and do in the City of Greater Dandenong.

Known as the City of Celebration, Greater Dandenong is a vibrant and busy place, offering something interesting to do or explore all year round.

With art events and festivals held monthly, including Victoria’s largest Lunar New Year festival, several stellar Culture and Heritage facilities and two state-of-the-art Libraries, you're sure to find your fill of arts and culture.

Greater Dandenong is home to some of Melbourne’s greatest places to eat. We boast over 50 Asian restaurants and specialty supermarkets, plus a thriving and bustling Dandenong Market. We also run must do Cultural Food tours which showcase unique cultural precincts like Little India and Afghan Bazaar.

For those who love to get active, we have 170 parks and reserves in the City, many of which are home to some amazing flora and fauna. We also have the largest basketball and volleyball stadium in the southern hemisphere and over 200 active sports clubs.
