City of Bones - Mortal Instruments 1 by Cassandra Clare
The City of Bones was an amazing fantasy novel that had a very unique storyline that was capturing and had plenty of plot twists and turns. This story followed a recently turned 18-year-old Clary Fray who lived a normal human life with her mother. On her 18th birthday that all changes and she discover that “all the stories are true”. Her life turns upside down overnight and she gets thrown into a whole new world of supernatural.
This book had so many plot twists and turns and kept me on my toes from the start. Getting to read as Clary tries to work out how to fit into the new world, she got thrown into was riveting to say the least. And the twist towards the end of the book made me itch to get the sequel as soon as I could get my hands on it.
I would highly recommend this to young adults that enjoy fantasy. If you like a good supernatural book this one really covers all bases, vampires, werewolves, fairies, demons, angels, you name it. It was an amazing read and unlike any other fantasy novel I have read.
