Justices of the Peace (JPs) are available at both the Dandenong Library and Springvale Community Hub.
The service is free and staffed by volunteers. JPs can assist residents with the following:
- Attesting the execution of a document.
- Witnessing a statutory declaration.
- Witnessing an affidavit for use in court.
- Certifying true copies of an original document.
- Certifying a person’s identity.
JP availability
JPs are volunteers and there may be times when they are not available as scheduled or hours may be affected by public holidays.
No appointments are needed but availability is best confirmed by phoning 1300 630 920 before you visit the library.

Monday: 10am-3pm
Tuesday: 10am-3pm and 6.30pm-8pm
Wednesday: 10am-3pm
Thursday: 10am-3pm and 6.30pm-8pm
Friday: 3pm-6pm
Saturday: 10.30am-11.30am
Springvale Library
Monday: 10am-1pm and 4.30pm-6pm
Tuesday-Friday: 10am-1pm and 4pm-6pm
