Justices of the Peace (JPs) are available at both the Dandenong Library and Springvale Community Hub.
The service is free and staffed by volunteers. JPs can assist residents with the following:
- Attesting the execution of a document.
- Witnessing a statutory declaration.
- Witnessing an affidavit for use in court.
- Certifying true copies of an original document.
- Certifying a person’s identity.
JP availability
JPs are volunteers and there may be times when they are not available as scheduled or hours may be affected by public holidays.
No appointments are needed but availability is best confirmed by phoning 1300 630 920 before you visit the library.

Dandenong Library
The Justice of the Peace service at Dandenong Library operates Monday to Thursday, with daytime and some evening sessions available. For specific times please contact the library on 1300 630 920.
Springvale Library
The Justice of the Peace service at Springvale Library is currently on a break. Service will resume on Tuesday 28 January.
