Children's Programs

The library has programs to support children from 0 to 12 years in the development of skills to encourage literacy, creativity and lifelong learning. These free programs provide the opportunity to explore and are designed to grow with your child from early years to primary school.

Baby Bounce, Toddler Time and Storytime run during school terms only. Registrations are not required.

Baby Bounce (0-23 months)

Songs, stories and rhyme time for parents, carers and babies aged 0-23 months.

Wednesdays 10.30am-11am at Dandenong Library

Fridays 10.30am-11am at Springvale Library

Toddler Time (2-3 years)

Stories, songs and rhymes for children aged 2-3 years.

Mondays 10.30am-11am at Springvale and Dandenong Libraries.

Storytime (3+ years)

Storytelling, songs and craft for children aged 3+ years.

Thursdays 10.30am-11am at Springvale and Dandenong Libraries.

Sensitive Storytime (3+ years)

Sensitive storytimes are adapted to assist children aged 3+ years with sensory processing or developmental challenges and children on the autism spectrum to feel more comfortable and have fun. To read a Social Story about the program, read the Going to Sensitive Storytime at the Library document.
