Home Library Service

Eligible residents are entitled to free delivery of library resources. Volunteers or staff will visit regularly with a selection of library resources chosen to suit interests and reading preferences.

Who is eligible?

The Home Library Service is available to residents in the City of Greater Dandenong who:

  • Have difficulty visiting the library because of illness, frailty or disability.
  • Are caring full-time for someone who is confined to their home by illness, frailty or disability.
  • Are temporarily housebound. 

What is available to home library service members?

The following library resources can be delivered:

  • Fiction and non-fiction books in standard print or large print
  • Talking books
  • Music CDs and DVDs
  • Magazines
  • Resources in a range of community languages.
