Darling Girls is the latest novel by Australian author Sally Hepworth. I love Sally Hepworth’s books, every time I read one, or in my case listen to one (as I prefer the audiobook), I finish it within a few days, as they are just that good! Sally’s most recent novel Darling Girls is no exception!
Darling Girls is an addictive, psychological thriller, about three women Alicia, Jessica and Norah who grew up together in foster care in the home of Miss Fairchild. When bones are discovered on the property they lived on, the three ladies are reunited to help the police in solving this tragedy.
This book needs some trigger warnings, as it deals with some heavy topics, including abuse, addiction, and death of a child. But it is a real eye opener into the world of foster care, it also has a satisfying ending, which I feel makes or breaks a good book.
I highly recommend you borrow Darling Girls! This book is available as a hardcopy at the library in regular and large print. Alternatively the eAudiobook and eBook are available on BorrowBox or Libby with your library membership.
