Huda and Me by H Hayek

Huda and her brother set out on a huge adventure to escape the horrors of Aunt Amel, the babysitter, after their parents are called away on an unexpected trip. Even Akeal, Huda’s brother doesn’t realise the extent of Huda’s planning, including the careful trickery that has been performed by Mr Kostiki, the good-natured next-door-neighbour to highlight Aunt Amel’s antics.  Huda and Akeal will attempt to save the day, not just for each other but for their siblings at home.
In between Huda’s non-stop energetic, humourous and sometimes slightly inappropriate commentary on everything, the reader gets an amazing insight into her Lebanese-Australian Muslim family with lots of love and laughter.

The author, H Hayek says that although Huda and Me is a work of fiction, the parents and siblings in the story are real. They are my family.’
H Hayek must be a funny woman!

Huda and Me is also available as an ebook.
