Knives Out is one of the most entertaining movies I’ve seen in years. It is a detective novel with a modern edge that would make Agatha Christie proud.
Knives Out starts with the death of a famous mystery author, Harlan Thrombey, whose manner of death is ruled a suicide on the evening of his 85th birthday party. Detective Blanc isn’t so sure – is it really suicide or murder? Key suspects include Harlan’s dysfunctional family, played by a star-studded cast that are both hilarious and suspicious – you won’t want to miss the acting performances of Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, Chris Evans and Michael Shannon. Harlan’s nurse, Marta Cabrera (played by Ana De Armas) is the heart and emotional centre of the movie and is someone you will find yourself rooting for.
If you are a fan of murder mysteries, this movie is for you because it will keep you guessing until the very end. Enjoy playing detective and seeing if you’re right
