Making Waves at Penvennan Cove by Linn B. Halton
Kerra Shaw has moved home to her little town in Cornwall to help her father after her mother’s death. Kerra owned a successful website that she has sold and is using the money she had made to make investments in her hometown. She’s in relationship with her childhood sweetheart Ross but must keep her relationship a secret because of a long-running feud between both of their families. Keeping their relationship secret from their fathers also means keeping it secret from the entire village and since they live in a small town, you can imagine that this secret does not stay secret for long.
With the feud between both of their families, Kerra and Ross dream to start a life together is becoming more and more distant with each passing day. The last thing Kerra wants is to hurt the people she loves, but the more time she spends with Ross the more she realizes that spending the rest of her life without him is unbearable.
When their secret is discovered, Kerra realises that the stakes have never been higher for her and Ross. Torn between duty to her family and her heart’s desire, Kerra has a difficult choice to make. Will she make the right decision or is she about to make the worst mistake of her life?
This is the first book I have read by Linn B. Halton but I am looking forward to reading more. If you love a happy-ever-after story, set in a seaside village, then you’ll enjoy Making Waves at Penvennan Cove.
