Nothing Bad Ever Happens Here

Nothing Bad Ever Happens Here by Heather Rose

This is a memoir. Grief is a major theme. The events Heather Rose and her family experience are tragic, and the repercussions affect them throughout their lives. However, Heather Rose does find some acceptance and peace. Other members of her family find different ways to cope.

The grief probably does affect everything that Heather experiences. However, there are other parts of this memoir that are joyful, amazing and impactful. She has had an interesting life and appears to be a positive and happy person despite the challenges she has faced.

I’ve also read other books written by Heather Rose: Bruny, The Museum of Modern Love and The Butterfly Man (all available at CGD Libraries). All her books are quite different and distinct. She has the skill to create each of her novels using a unique style. This book gives insights into her life which has obviously impacted her writing.

Available as a book and eBook.
