The Scarecrow Walks at Midnight by R.L. Stine

In The Scarecrow Walks at Midnight we meet Jodie and Mark, siblings who live in the city but come for a month every summer to visit their grandparents on their farm. But this summer, things are different. Instead of just one scarecrow in the fields, there are over a dozen scarecrows in the field. The scarecrows look evil, they distinguish you in an eerie type of way. Grandpa Kurt and Grandma Miriam are the owners of the property, and they go by their daily habits around the house including their new helpers, Jodie and her brother. Throughout the book there are experiences with the scarecrows which signal alarms to Jodie and her brother but not so much their grandparents as they are in old age. All of a sudden there is a major twist towards the ending that'll change your perseverance about the book. I highly recommend this book to all ages up to 18 of horror fans.
