The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides
I was prepared to hate this book as I had never read a psychological thriller before this book, but…. I loved it. I had seen it getting recommended on a lot of the pages I follow and just had to see what all the hype was about. I stayed up reading, just not being able to put it down. It hooks you from the very beginning. The twist at the end is what I can only compare to “The Sixth Sense”, once you know the end you can never read it the same again. In the middle it was a little blabby at some points but for the end it is so worth reading on. If you end up liking this title I also highly recommend Verity by Colleen Hoover or Local Woman Missing by Mary Kubica. But the Silent Patient was what got me hooked into the world of psychological thrillers and I have to thank Alex Michaelides for that.
