Kintsugi Workshop - Libraries After Dark

105
Hand repairing pottery with kintsugi, highlighting cracks with dark lacquer.

Discover the ancient Japanese art of Kintsugi and learn how to repair broken ceramics into beautifully imperfect works of art. In this hands-on class, you'll explore the history of Kintsugi and practice both traditional and modern techniques using materials like epoxy glue and urushi lacquer. You'll receive step-by-step guidance and leave with one to two unique, handmade pieces.

What to bring:
two to three ceramic pieces that are either broken or can be safely broken during class—avoid anything valuable. These will be used for practice as you learn Kintsugi techniques.
