Christmas - Storytime - Dandenong Library

103
Children wearing chistmas hats enjoying a storytime at the library. A christmas tree and present appear on the right hand side.

Join the library in celebrating Christmas with a festive themed storytime. Listen to a story or two, join in a few songs and finish with a visit from a special guest.

For your child aged three and over.

Storytime is a lot of fun for children and carers alike. Listening to stories helps children develop their imagination and vocabulary.

Storytime engenders a love of books and reading that is important for your child’s literacy and their comprehension of the world around them.

These sessions also help carers to learn songs, finger plays and nursery rhymes that can be enjoyed with children at home. It's a great social experience and those attending is encouraged to actively participate in the sessions.

Sensitive storytime (3+ years)

Sensitive storytimes are adapted to assist children aged three years and over with sensory processing or developmental challenges and children on the autism spectrum to feel more comfortable and have fun.

For more information and to register an interest to attend Sensitive storytime sessions, phone the library on 1300 630 920
