2026 Stella Prize Longlist

The 2026 Stella Prize Longlist has been announced, celebrating twelve outstanding books by Australian women and non-binary writers. Selected from over 200 submissions, the longlisted works span poetry, fiction, non-fiction, memoir and graphic storytelling.

Together, these titles explore themes of memory, truth, identity and belonging, highlighting the transformative power of story and reflecting the diversity and vitality of contemporary Australian literature.

The shortlist will be announced on 8 April, with the winner of the $60,000 Stella Prize to be revealed on 13 May.
