Children's Book Council of Australia Award Winners 2022

The winners of the 2022 Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) Book of the Year Awards have been announced.

CBCA Book week runs until 26 August with the theme Dreaming With Eyes Open.

The winning titles in each category are:

Older readers: winner

Tiger Daughter - Rebecca Lim 

Younger readers: winner

A Glasshouse of Stars - Shirley Marr

Early childhood: winner

Jetty Jumping - Andrea Rowe  illustrated by Hannah Sommerville

Picture books: winner

Iceberg - Jess Racklyeft  text by Claire Saxby

Eve Pownall Award for information books: winner

Still Alive, Notes from Australia's Immigration Detention System - Safdar Ahmed
 

CBCA Award for new illustrators: winner
