Planting for Native Birds, Bees and Butterflies by Jaclyn Crupi
This is a wonderful book. Not only is it beautiful and beautifully illustrated but it is crammed full of interesting facts and tips regarding how to effectively garden in Australia and how to attract all the wonderful little creatures that keep our eco systems flowing to our own gardens. I really enjoyed reading this book and it can be used like this, read all the way through or dipped into as required.
It has given me ideas for planting and made me more conscious of the world around me and what small things that I can do to improve the environment and habitat for the wonderful flora and fauna that are part of this wonderful country we call Australia.
I would very much recommend this book to any budding gardeners out there or for more experienced gardeners who may have a bit of free time while nature heads into her annual dormant period during winter and we have fewer jobs to do out there in the cold, grey wet of this season. This book is great to gain some understanding of how to garden in harmony with nature.
