Tell Me Lies by J.P. Pomare

J.P. Pomare has done it again with his new psychological thriller Tell me lies. After having enjoyed  his debut work Call me Evie and the follow up In the clearing, I was eager to read his new one and it didn't disappoint.

We meet Margot, a  successful psychologist and see her with a selection of her clients, -  all troubled, all likely to be lying to her about some aspect of their lives, all capable of doing harm. But one in particular is really getting under her skin. He's pushing the boundaries of  psychologist/patient relations and Margot, against her better judgement, is finding him hard to resist.

When her family home is the target of an arson attack, and her office is also set alight,  Margot suspects one of her clients.  Things become increasingly fraught and Margot and her family find themselves in real danger.   But it's hard to know- who is telling the truth and who is lying?  The novel is fairly fast paced and quick to read and also deals with contemporary issues like social media, family relationships and gaming. Tell me lies will have you on the edge of your seat till the surprising ending.
