About the exhibition
Healing and Hope: The Power of Art brings together a photography exhibition in May by Deakin University, featuring images created by people with lived experience of gambling harm, alongside artworks by artist Nelson Nghe. Through personal and collective narratives, the works reveal the often unseen and complex impacts of gambling harm on families and culturally diverse communities.
Together, these works invite audiences to reflect on themes of stigma, resilience and awareness, highlighting the power of art to create understanding, foster empathy, and open conversations around gambling harm within our community.
Healing and Hope: The Power of Art is a collaboration with Deakin University, Gambling Harm Lived Experience Experts, and artist Nelson Nghe.
This exhibition will run from 1-30 May and can be viewed at Dandenong and Springvale libraries.
