Help with English, Resumes, Forms and Applications

The library offers help with English, government forms, cover letters, interviews, job searching and more.

Language and literacy service

The free language and literacy service helps adults to:

  • Find the right English class.
  • Prepare for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
  • Create resumes and gain interview and job searching skills.
  • Write letters.
  • Fill in government forms and applications.
  • Find further study and employment information.

Drop-in sessions

Short 30-minute help is available at these drop-in sessions. Sessions are only held during school terms. Library membership, an email address and a mobile phone are required to attend these sessions. Find out how to become a member

Jobs Victoria mentor service

A Jobs Victoria mentor will be available at the following drop-in sessions to help people become work-ready, find a job that suits them and support them in their role for the first six months.

Dandenong Library

Springvale Library

  • Wednesday: 2pm-4pm

Australian citizenship information sessions

Free information sessions for people interested in applying for Australian citizenship.

The sessions will be held once a week for three weeks and include:

  • Explaining citizenship application requirements.
  • Working through the Our Common Bond booklet.
  • Attempting online practice tests.
